The Essendon Bowls Club has been the latest club to join JPR’s new and exciting Team Racing initiative!

20 members of the club have formed a syndicate and bought into a promising Bel Esprit filly (Yearling) out of the Strategic mare Taut that was offered by JPR.

“What a great way to have some fun at very minimal cost with your club mates and have the chance to go on a roller coaster of a ride!” President Rob Blachford said. “When JPR’s Team Racing was put to us, the first 20 people that had the opportunity jumped at it! We’re going to turn it into a club horse and give the Filly her own wall where Members can check the progress of her at all times and really help build on the great club culture that we have here at the Essendon Bowls Club.”

The Essendon Bowls Club is the latest of hopefully many clubs that join the JPR Team and the Team Racing initiative. The Club is one of the most prominent Lawn Bowls Clubs in the state with the highest division participating in the Melbourne Premier League.

“Lawn Bowls isn’t just a game for us bordering on the older generation, we have members from 14 years of age through to 95 and our Premier League team’s average age is 28 years old”, Rob said. “We’ve got great club spirit and this initiative of Team Racing can only help that as we strive for success on the lawn bowling greens and now the race tracks of Victoria!”
