Talented 3yo gelding Urgup showed his assets on Friday winning in a tough effort whwn up against it. Showing copious amounts of ability at home, this son of Exceed And Excel was bitterly disappointing in his first start for the stable recently, however with a change in riding tactics and a couple of gear changes, he stepped up to the mark on Friday and won in a tough grinding effort when challenged to the line by the hot favorite who had the good sit off him.
Although still doing a bit wrong on Friday in the race, his effort was strong and there is plenty of improvement to come when the penny drops.
