The Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale saw Jason buy an outstanding type of filly (pictured) by the most popular Victorian stallion Bel Esprit. Jason had a prior knowledge of this filly through his contacts at Eliza Park and was happy to buy her for the most reasonable price of $75k. "One of the nicest Bel Esprit's to go to a sale" was the opinion of highly respected Bloodstock Manager Mark Lindsay. "She's got it all, scope, size, bone, strength and a top nature to be a good horse" he added. Prominent Melbourne owner Kevin Wacey who owns the Dam "Lottacosta" was so happy with the filly himself he decided to keep a share. She has arrived at Kevin's Yarra Valley property and will be broken in next month. We will, this year, be extremely selective about the stock we buy. We don't intend to buy a heap of yearlings as we will work on quality, not quantity. As a start, this Bel Esprit filly certainly fits that mould!!
